If your Canon printer is offline on your Mac, there are a few things you can try to fix the problem:
Check your physical connections. Make sure that the printer is turned on and that the USB cable (or power cable, if you're using a wireless printer) is properly connected to your Mac.
Restart your printer and Mac. This can sometimes fix minor problems that are causing the printer to go offline.
Reset the printing system. To do this, go to Apple menu > System Preferences > Printers & Scanners. Click the + button and select Reset printing system.
Add the printer again. If you've tried all of the above and the printer is still offline, try adding it again. To do this, go to Apple menu > System Preferences > Printers & Scanners and click the + button. Select Add Printer or Scanner and follow the on-screen instructions.
Update your printer drivers. Outdated or corrupted printer drivers can cause the printer to go offline. To update your printer drivers, go to the Canon website and download the latest drivers for your printer model.
For Mac users, their beloved computers offer a seamless and intuitive platform for an array of tasks, including printing. However, even in the Mac environment, Canon printer owners may confront a persistent issue – the dreaded “Canon Printer Offline Mac” message. Such an error can significantly disrupt printing workflows and lead to exasperation.
